Flea Market * Bit Pazarı

Greetings! How is everyone ? Couple of weeks ago I visited a flea market, I live a bit far from the city center so it can take me a while to decide to visit such places. The location is Santa Clara Alfama, it is open Tuesday and Saturday from 10:00 to 17:00, some sites say 18:00 but I don't think it is open until then.
As far as I understand there are 2 sections of the flea market, the open market on the street and the indoor area where you can find all kinds of organic and specialty products made by hand.
To get there, you can take the green metro from the city center, then the blue line, get off at Santa Apolónia and walk for 10 minutes.
When I reached the market area on the street, I started to see: porcelain plates and bowls, coffee cups, crystal liquor glasses, crystal bottles just like my grandmother's, special and different glassware, all kinds of antiques, records, CDs, Portuguese towels, runners, bags.... The ones that interested me the most were pertels made of bronze or some unknown metal and they were very beautiful.
There was an incredible amount of retro and vintage clothing products, I know I would never be able to leave if I go more further😊 Actually, yes, I think there were more handcrafted products for sale than the antique market. If you spend your time and look carefully, I believe you can find that exclusive piece you want. Of course, there are more products than I could count, think of the unique pieces you see in antique markets in your own city, I have seen them being sold up to the living room chandelier in these streets.

In the closed market section, there are plenty of handcrafted organic creams, earrings, wooden cutting boards and spoons, bags... Despite the weather, it was really crowded inside. I bought an organic face cream and left. There were also Portuguese dishes, tapas and various flavors you could taste.These street flavors are really ideal for those who are tired and want to take a sweet break. 😊
Then I got tired and started looking around for a place to sit while waiting for my friends. There were a few places called "Taberna" in Portugal. Actually, the word has the same meaning as "Taverna", but it is not similar to the taverns in Türkiye. When I think of a taverna, I think more of a place with entertainment and music. The tavern-style restaurants known today as taverns, where you go to have fun, have survived from the Roman Empire Period. Here, I think they are mostly Portuguese restaurants where they serve Portuguese food and I have not yet come across one where there is entertainment, at least that is my observation. You can already tell when it is a fado restaurant or any other kind.
When I passed the tavern, the design and slogan "Listambul" and "Little little in to the middle" caught my eye, of course I entered immediately. I said "I'm tired, I'm waiting for my friends, can I sit down and have a cup of tea?" The friendly lady said "of course, tea is on us" 😊 The tables were Portuguese "azulejos", the walls were simple and had a nice atmosphere. It was as if the Ottoman period and the Portuguese past were used together. When I got hungry, I ordered a "carrot tarator", I'm not gonna lie, it was one of the most delicious things I've ever eaten! When my friends arrived, they ordered the lentil meatballs, we were expecting meatballs, but a meticulously shaped dish in the shape of a circle came on a plate. The taste took me to the east obviously. You should definitely try it for local flavors shaped with fusion cuisine! I think Listambul, which I discovered completely spontaneously, has been open for about a couple of months. For a different Turkish food adventure, I can recommend you to take your Portuguese friends and give it a try.

Selamlar ! Herkes nasıl ? Bir süre önce bir bit pazarını ziyaret ettim. Konum olarak şehir merkezinden biraz uzak yaşadığım için böyle yerleri ziyaret etmeye karar verip gitmem zaman alabiliyor. Konum Lizbon’da Santa Clara Alfama, Salı ve Cumartesi günleri 10:00 ve 17:00 arası açık, bazı sitelerde 18:00 olduğu belirtilmiş ancak o saatte kadar açık olduğunu düşünmüyorum.
Bit pazarının 2 bölümü var anladığım kadarıyla, sokakta sergilenen açık Pazar ve kapalı alanda daha çok el emeğiyle yapılmış bin bir türlü bulabileceğiniz organik ve özel ürünler.
Gidiş için Şehir Merkezinden önce yeşil metroyu kullanarak sonra mavi hatta geçip Santa Apolónia’da inebilir ve bir 10 dakika yürüyebilirsiniz.
Sokaktaki Pazar alanına ulaştığımda bit pazarında görmeye başladıklarımı listelersem : porselen tabak çanaklar, kahve fincanları, kristal likörlükler, özel ve değişik camdan ürünler, bin bir türlü antika parça, plaklar, CDler, Portekize özgü havlular, runner, çantalar .. Bunların arasında en çok ilgimi çeken bronze veya bilmediğim bir metalden yapılmış havanlar vardı ve çok güzellerdi.
İnanılmaz fazla retro ve vintage kıyafet ürünleri vardı, girsem hiç çıkamayacağımı biliyorum 😊 Aslında evet, sanırım antika pazarından çok el emeği ile yapılmış sıfır ürünler de satılıyordu. Eğer zamanınızı verirseniz ve dikkatli bakarsanız istediğiniz özel parçayı bulabileceğinize inanıyorum. Tabiki sayamadığım kadar ürün var, kendi şehrinizde antika pazarlarında gördüğünüz kendine has parçaları düşünün, bu caddelerde salon avizesine kadar satıldığını gördüm.
Hava gerçekten çok kötü ve yağmurlu olduğu için video çekemedim ne yazık ki ama aşağıda link iletiyorum bu seferlik oradan inceleyebilirsiniz, affedin 😊
Kapalı olan Pazar kısmında ise bol bol el hüneri içeren organik kremler, küpeler, ahşap kesme tahtaları ve kaşıkları, çantalar mevcut. Havaya rağmen içeriye rağbet çoktu gerçekten. Bir organik yüz kremi aldım çıktım. Tadabileceğiniz portekiz ezgili yemekler, tapaslar ve çeşitli tatlar da mevcuttu. Yorulup da tatlı bir mola vermek isteyenler için gerçekten ideal bu sokak lezzetleri.
Sonra yorulup arkadaşlarımı beklerken oturmak için etrafta yer aramaya koyuldum. Birkaç tane Portekiz “Taberna” dedikleri mekanından vardı. Aslında kelime anlamı olarak Taverna ile aynı anlamı içeriyor ancak yapısı gereği Bizim Türkiye’deki tavernalara benzemiyor. Taverna deyince gözümün önüne daha çok eğlenceli, müzikli bir mekan geliyor. Bugün taverna olarak bilinen ve eğlenmek için gidilen meyhane tarzı restoranlar Roma İmparatorluğu Döneminden günümüze gelmiştir. Burada daha çok Portekiz yemeği bulunan, henüz eğlence yapılan bir tanesine denk gelmediğim restoranlar sanıyorum, en azından benim gözlemim o şekilde. Fado restorantı ya da başka bir tür olduğu zaman zaten anlıyorsunuz hemen.
Tavernayı pas geçince hemen gözüme o dizayn ve slogan çarptı “Listambul” ve “Ortaya karışık” , tabiki hemen girdim. Dedim ki “yoruldum arkadaşlarımı bekliyorum bir oturup çay varsa içebilir miyim?” Güler yüzlü hanımefendi “tabi ki çay bizden” dedi 😊 Masalar Portekiz “azulejos” ları, duvarları sade ve mekanın güzel bir atmosferi vardı. Sanki Osmanlı dönemi ve Portekiz geçmişi birlikte kullanılmış gibi. Acıkınca bir havuç tarator söyledim, ne yalan söyleyeyim, yediklerimin en lezzetlilerinden biriyidi ! Arkadaşlarım da gelince Mercimek köftesinden söylediler, köfte bekledik ancak bir tabakta daire şeklinde, özenle şekillendirilmiş bir meze geldi. Tadı beni aldı doğuya götürdü. Füzyon mutfağı ile şekillendirilmiş yöresel tatlar için mutlaka denemelisiniz! Tamamen spontane keşfettiğim Listambul açılalı birkaç ay kadar olmuş. Değişik bir Türk yemeği macerası için Portekizli arkadaşlarınızı alıp denemenizi önerebilirim.
