A piece of Night life *Bir tutam Gece Hayatı

Hello everyone! This week a new roommate has landed to our flat, my gender mate, a German :) . So in her honor I decided to take her out for a night out in Lisbon on the second night of her arrival. I asked her, "do you like fish?" She said she loves sushi. I said "noooo, we are going to eat fish, Portuguese style". I didn't want to take her to too touristic places but we ended up in a place like that in the center. Of course, I started the night by giving her information about the train station and how to use her card. Then we started climbing up a beautiful Lisbon hill and came to the street "Rua Do Diário De Notícias", which is now a touristic street with fado and fish restaurants. It is located on the "Bairo Alto" region, which has a lot of bars & places to hang out, where you can have a nice meal and then go dancing. In fact, this street is also famous for the fact that it contains a historical building, which started publishing newspapers in 1865, giving the street its name.
We sat down at any restaurant on the street and I suggested to my new roommate to look at the menu, but to try the Portuguese traditional "Bacalhau" in honor of today. I ordered a kind of sea bream, which they call gold, on the grill. The original name of the fish is "Dourada". While waiting for our food, we ordered a bottle of green wine.
I don't really understand the specialty and region of green wine, but it matches perfectly with the fish and shrimp. Green wine is made from the skins, stems and seeds of the grapes, so it has stronger aromas and flavors. My favorite wines in Portugal are usually the red ones, in Porto and the Douro region 😊
In the meantime, a French friend of mine stopped by and we enjoyed our fish and sipped wine while he drank his 2 beers. Anyway, everyone get along with each other and it was a nice dinner time.
I was relieved when my friend said she liked the food. It was as if I had made the food and I was expecting criticism 😊. We decided to pack up, we said let's go, what should we do, where should we take this girl, it was actually 21.30. We walked around Bairo Alto for a while, at least 30 minutes. I taught her where there are Turkish döner restaurants in case she gets hungry after drinking alcohol at night :D Actually I'm beating myself up for nothing, I say I didn't learn any place, but I learned the touristic places. I'm wandering the streets thinking that I should learn the local restaurants in case someone visits me...
I have a favorite place "Ache Latino" and my feet brought us there. A French, a German and a Turk, we went to a Latin bar 😊 I didn't feel like dancing much, but I still danced all night in the most Latin way I could be. Of course, I sipped my favorite drink, Pina Colada, in my glass as a look of pineapple . The new girl sipped her margarita in her cute way 😊
In Bairo Alto, the venues are never full or empty. People come and go, there is a constant circulation, this is the same for every venue. We preferred to sit, but at the same time we were dancing in the back. I know that I normally walk and dance from place to place, but I didn't want to exhaust the new girl on the first day 😊
After ending the night by drinking rum from shot glasses which were like skulls, we headed to the center of Lisbon. The streets are not empty, there are so many people. I’d like to mention that the possibility of anything happening to you is really low here.
Since the trains are always either under renovation or on strike, I think it was 2 am when we get home, first we took the night shuttle bus to the stop where we supposed to take the train and then get in the train home. Normally it would take 25 minutes by train from my house to Lisbon, but as you know night life, that's how delays happen.
We reached home safely, anyway we both found our beds and fell asleep after a Saturday night in Lisbon.
I will be waiting for your questions about Lisbon night life 😊 I would like to give an idea up to the point I experienced.

Herkese selam! Bu hafta eve yeni bir oda arkadaşı geldi, cinsiyetdaşım, bir Alman. Ben de bunun onuruna kendisini geldiğinin 2. akşamı Lizbon gecelerine çıkarmaya karar verdim. Sordum, balık sever misin ? Sushi çok severmiş. Dedim yok, Portekiz usulü balık yemeğe gidiyoruz. Onu çok turistik yerlere götürmek istememiştim ama en son kendimizi merkezde o tarzda bir yerde bulduk. Tabi ki kendisine tren istasyonunu ve kartını nasıl kullanması gerektiğiyle ilgili bilgi aktarımıyla başladım geceye. Sonradan güzel bir Lizbon yokuşu tırmanmaya başladık ve “Rua Do Diário De Notícias” sokağına geldik. Şuanda burası turistik, fado ve balık restorantlarının olduğu bir sokak. Eğlence sokakları olan “Bairo Alto” tarafında yer alıyor, burada güzelce yemeğinizi yiyip sonrasında dans etmeye gidebilirsiniz. Aslında bu sokak tarihi bir bina içermesi ile de ünlenmiş, 1865 yılında gazete çıkarmaya başlamasıyla sokağa da sonradan adını veriyor.
Sokaktaki herhangi bir restorana oturduk ve yeni ev arkadaşıma menüye bakmasını ama bugünün şerefine Portekiz geleneksel “Bacalhau”’yu denemesini önerdim. Ben de ızgarada altın dedikleri bir çeşit çipura sipariş ettim. Yemeklerimizi beklerken bir de şişe olarak yeşil şarap sipariş ettik. Orijinal adı “Dourada”.
Yeşil şarabın özelliğinden ve yöresinden gerçekten anlamıyorum ancak balıkla ve karidesle fevkalade uyumlu. Yeşil şarap üzümlerin kabukları, sapları ve çekirdekleriyle üretilen bir çeşit, bu sebeple yeşil şarap daha güçlü aromalara ve tatlara sahiptir. Benim Portekizdeki favori şaraplarım ise genelde kırmızı olanlar, Porto’da ve Douro bölgesinde 😊
Bu arada Fransız bir arkadaşım da yanımıza uğradı, o 2 birasını içerken biz de balıklarımızı afiyetle yiyip şarabımızı yudumladık. Neyse, herkes birbiriyle anlaştı güzel bir yemek vaktiydi.
Arkadaşım yemeği beğendiğini söyleyince içim rahatlamıştı. Hani sanki yemeği ben yapmışım da eleştiri beliyormuşum gibi.. 😊 Toplanmaya karar verdik, hadi dedik ne yapalım bu kızı nereye götürelim, aslında daha erken saat 21.30. Biraz Bairo Alto tarafında turladık, en az 30 dakika. Etrafta gece alkol sonrası acıkırsa nerelerde Türk dönerciler var onu öğrettim kendisine :D Aslında kendimi boşuna yeriyorum, hiçbir yer öğrenmedim etmedim diyorum ama turistik mekanları öğrenmişim. Birileri beni ziyaret ederse diye yerel restoranları da öğrensem iyi olur diye düşünerekten salınıyorum sokaklarda…
Benim favori bir mekanım var “Ache Latino”, ayaklarım bizi oraya getirdi ben de arkadaşları oraya götürdüm. Bir Fransız, bir Alman ve bir Türk, Latin bir bar’a gittik 😊 Çok dans edesim yoktu ama yine de bütün gece olabileceğim en latin halimle dans ettim. Tabi ki favori içkim olan Pina Colada’yı ananas enstanteneli bardağımda bir güzel hüplettim. Yeni kız margaritasını yudumladı minnoş haliyle 😊
Bairo Altoda mekanlar hiçbir zaman tam dolu ya da tam boş kalmıyor. İnsanlar girip çıkıyor, sürekli bir sirkülasyon var, bu her mekan için böyle. Biz oturmayı tercih ettik, ama bir yandan da arkada dans ediyorduk. Normal şartlarda mekan mekan dolaşıp dans ettiğimi bilirim ama yeni kızı ilk günden yormayayım dedim 😊
Geceyi kafatası shot bardaklarından romlarımızı içerek noktalandırmamızın ardından Lizbon merkeze yola koyulduk. Sokaklar boş değil, çok fazla insan var. Başınıza herhangi bir şey gelme olasılığı gerçekten çok düşük burada. Trenler sürekli ya tadilatta ya da grevde olduğu için gece servisi denilen otobüsümüzle trene bineceğimiz durağa kadar gittikten sonra trenle eve gelmemiz sanırım gece 2 idi. Normal şartlarda evimle Lizbon arası trenle 25 dakika sürer ama malum gece hayatı, gecikmeler böyle oluyor.
Sapa sağlam eve ulaştık, neyse 2 miz de yatağımızı bulup bir Cumartesi Lizbon gecesi muradına ererekten uykuya daldık.
Lizbon akşamları hakkında merak ettiğiniz soruları bekliyorum 😊 Deneyimlediğim noktaya kadar fikir vermek isterim.
